The American Horse Trials Foundation [AHTF] is a non-profit corporation established to assist Event Riders and Organizers in raising tax deductible financial support for national and international competitions. Eventing is one of three Olympic Equestrian sports, with its origins in cavalry training – combining the very diverse disciplines of dressage, cross-country riding, and show jumping.
Riders who are bona fide national or international level competitors are eligible to apply for grants from the AHTF to further their preparation for Olympic or World Championship competition. The AHTF has also expanded its program to include grants for USEA recognized Events. Additionally, the program includes grants for qualified Young Riders, Riders, and Para-Equestrians competing in the Show Jumping, Dressage, Endurance, and Driving disciplines.
